Professor Gordon Flake Interviews Sheena Greitens
Professor Gordon Flake interviewed Sheena Greitens, Associate Professor at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas and faculty fellow with the Clements Centre for National Security. Sheena is also the author of “Dictators and Their Secret Police: Coercive Institutions and State Violence”.
The interview focused on the experiences of Taiwan, South Korea and the Philippines under authoritarian and dictatorial regimes. In addition, their talk covered China’s experience with surveillance and the pandemic, as well as recent diplomatic tensions between China, the US and Australia against the backdrop of the Anchorage meeting.
