Roundtable discussion with US Congressional Delegation

On Wednesday, 9 August 2023, the Perth USAsia Centre hosted a seven-member bipartisan delegation from the United States Congress, including leading members of the House Armed Services Committee and other committees.
The delegation, led by Representative Trent Kelly, included Representative Rob Wittman, Representative Vicente Gonzalez, Representative Claudia Tenney, Representative Robert Aderholt, Representative Ronny Jackson, and Representative Scott DesJarlais.

As Australia and the US navigate an increasingly complex Indo-Pacific, the two countries’ alliance has never been more important.

The strength of this relationship and the opportunities it brings was a focal point of the discussion. 
The delegation articulated US perspectives on AUKUS, the Quad and the challenges we face in the region.
