In the Zone 2015: Capital ideas for the 21st century

In the Zone was created by The University of Western Australia to mark Western Australia’s rapid rise in geo-strategic and economic importance. Three years before the Asian Century white paper, the University recognised Western Australia’s new role as a major provider of commodities fuelling the economic rise of Asia.

On 1 May a distinguished group of business leaders, statespeople and influential thinkers gathered at The University of Western Australia for In the Zone’s 2015 Leadership Forum. Western Australia’s Premier, the Hon Colin Barnett MLA, joined Australia’s Foreign Minister, the Hon Julie Bishop MP, at In the Zone 2015: Capital ideas for the twenty-first century to welcome delegates and address the state’s evolving relationships with its neighbours.
