Roundtable with Andrew Goledzinowski
On Thursday 22 August, the Perth USAsia Centre hosted a private roundtable with Mr Andrew Goledzinowski, Australian Ambassador to Vietnam.
As one of Asia’s fastest-growing economies and emerging manufacturing powerhouse, Vietnam’s strategic importance in the Indo-Pacific is rapidly increasing. But the country is also facing complex challenges, including balancing close partnerships with both the US and China while navigating a territorial dispute with Beijing in the South China Sea.
As Vietnam seeks to achieve steady and sustainable economic growth, there are many opportunities to deepen Australia’s relationship with one of its top-tier diplomatic, trade and investment partners. Ambassador Goledzinowski joined us to discuss recent trends in Vietnam’s strategic direction, and explore avenues to deepen cooperation across diverse sectors such as agriculture, education and digital technologies.
