Home to over 20 per cent of the world’s population, South Asia is a region of immense diversity, dynamism, and strategic importance. Australia’s trade and partnerships with countries across the region are expanding rapidly, led by India – the world’s largest democracy – which has become a key strategic partner. Through our research and events, we aim to strengthen collaboration on shared challenges such as the energy transition, while identifying new avenues for Australia to increase its engagement with this pivotal region.
