US POLITICS WEB SERIES 2, EP 4 FEATURING Annelise Nielsen
By Professor Gordon Flake and Professor Simon Jackman on 04 June 2021
United States | Indo-Pacific Politics
On the 4th June 2021, the CEOs of the Perth USAsia Centre and United States Studies Centre spoke with journalist Annelise Nielsen to review the latest in US politics and policy, and what this means for Australia. Annelise Nielsen is Sky News Australia’s first Washington Correspondent.
Their discussion centered around how the atmosphere has changed in the US after the first 100 days of the Biden administration and rapid pace of the COVID vaccine rollout, with specific focus on the stories of migrants on the Mexico side of the border, as well as the broader policy implications of border protection for Vice President Kamala Harris and the Biden team.
