2025 Microcredential information session

Join the Perth USAsia Centre for an information session on the micro-credential course in 2025.

Australia and the Indo-Pacific – Understanding our strategic connections to Asia is an eight-week, fully online course designed to give participants a comprehensive understanding of Australia’s role on the international stage. Aimed at early- to mid-career professionals in Australia’s business, government and education sectors, the course is highly valuable for professionals moving into, or advancing in, roles that require Asia-related knowledge, and for those seeking career advancement and/or broader context of the region.

This course will be delivered by the Perth USAsia Centre in partnership with The University of Western Australia and supported by the WA State Government.

Ahead of the course start date (10 March), Perth USAsia Centre will hold a 30-minute information session via Teams to explain the course in more detail.

Time: 1.30pm to 2.00pm AWST
Access: A Teams link will be provided with confirmation email

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions during the session or submit a question in advance via the registration form.

Guest alumnus

Microcredential alumnus Rachel Falzon will be joining us to share her experience of the course, and how the skills she gained are applicable in her day to day work moving forward.

Rachel is an executive consultant with a focus on strategic planning and business operations. Her background spans over 15 years across defence, rail and the production sectors. Rachel is the president of the Women in Defence Association and Director/Founder of Novel Management Pty Ltd.

Her record includes successful programs with the Dept of Defence, Dept of Industry Science and Resources, Austal Ships, Naval Ship Management and UGL Rail. As a female founder, she also helps advocate for marginalised groups.
