Parisa De Jonge

Parisa is the Communications and Marketing Manager at the Perth USAsia Centre, bringing strategic leadership in communications, marketing, and stakeholder engagement to support the Centre’s mission of strengthening Australia’s connections across the Indo-Pacific.

She leads the development and execution of integrated marketing and communications strategies, enhancing the Centre’s brand presence both in Australia and across the region. Parisa also manages and mentors the Communications team, overseeing targeted campaigns that drive engagement and participation in the Centre’s educational programs, including micro-credentials and outreach initiatives that foster knowledge and understanding of the Indo-Pacific.

Before joining the Centre, Parisa was a Marketing Manager at The University of Western Australia, where she led strategic marketing, recruitment, and stakeholder engagement initiatives. Prior to this, she was the Marketing Manager at the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia, where she developed and managed multi-channel campaigns in collaboration with industry stakeholders to elevate the sector’s profile and advocacy priorities.

Parisa began her career as a solicitor in the United Kingdom, practising for ten years in commercial and insolvency law before transitioning to marketing. This multidisciplinary experience gives her a unique perspective, combining legal, commercial, marketing, and communications expertise to support core organisational objectives.

Parisa is a member of the Australian Earth Science Education Board, providing strategic communication and education-sector engagement. She joined its Finance Risk and Audit Committee in 2023, was invited to the Board in 2024, and was appointed Deputy Chair in 2025. She holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours, a Diploma of Legal Practice, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
