The Indo-Pacific: A Western Australian Perspective
On 7 August 2018, Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Ms Frances Adamson, delivered a keynote on "The Indo-Pacific: A Western Australian Perspective" to over 100 people at the Perth Town Hall. Having initially spoken at the Perth USAsia Centre four years ago during her tenure as Australia's Ambassador to the People's Republic of China, Secretary Adamson commended the growth and importance of the Centre and highlighted the unique role the Centre has in championing Australia's Indo-Pacific foreign policy debate.

Western Australia has a long history of forging its own way in the Indo-Pacific, whatever those of us back east were doing.
