Communications Officer

Reginald Ramos

Reginald Ramos is the Communications Officer at the Perth USAsia Centre and is responsible for implementing the Centre's communication strategies, overseeing high-level projects in the community engagement and digital space while also leading the Centre's photography, video, audio, website and social media practices. When joining the Centre, Reginald was responsible for developing programs on the Indo-Pacific region and managed and launched research projects and events in Australia and Southeast Asia. He is also currently volunteering as a Student Mentor at The University of Western Australia.

Reginald graduated from Curtin University majoring in International Relations and History in 2016. Following his graduation, he commenced his career working for the international anti-modern slavery organisation, Walk Free Foundation, where he assisted researching and writing for the Global Slavery Index 2016 with a primary focus on the Asia-Pacific region. Subsequently, he worked as a Research Analyst under the Global Food and Water Crises Program for Future Directions International. He has served as the January - June 2017 Indo-Pacific Fellow for Young Australians in International Affairs and has also contributed as an External Editor for the Sea Power Centre - Australia.
